In 1935 Falstaff purchaes the Krug brewery in Omaha, Nebraska and became the first major brewer to operate seperate plants in different states. Business was so good that Falstaff aquired the National Brewery in New Orleans in 1937. Joseph Griesedieck died in 1938 and his son Alvin took over.
